Sure, you can wear it on the plane. All ororo heated apparel is TSA-friendly. All ororo batteries are lithium batteries and you must keep them in your carry-on luggage.

Will the heated apparel work at temperatures below 32℉/0℃?
Yes, it will still work well. However, if you’re going to spend a lot of time in sub-zero temperatures, we recommend you purchase a spare battery so you don’t run out of heat!

Open box jacket for women. It's a winner because it is warm and cozy all over. Used it afew times without the heated feature. It's a well made jacket, soft and many say it's like having a warm soft blanket on. It's the right lengthen, can wear sweater underneath or lite fleece jacket as an additional layer. I purchased a size small and normally wear a PM. The small fits perfectly. Enjoying this great jacket. I am 5 feet 3 inches and 120 lbs.

I love all of my Ororo products and recommend them to everyone but this is the first time I was a little disappointed. The wires across the chest are visible through the fabric (bumpy) which is not ideal.
