We are two homegrown Michigan skaters teaching the world to skate via YouTube. Jamie has skated her entire life, but also enjoys painting, photography, and hiking the foothills of Colorado. Sandy is a former adult national competitor but is also a writer, beach lover, mom, and knows her way around a brewery.
We love skating and want you to love it too! We have decades of experience making skating fun. Virtual Ice Skating Coach was born in November 2020 as a way to continue to teach our craft during COVID-19 lockdowns. Our channel provides free, inclusive, and entertaining resources for skaters of all disciplines, ages, and levels.
We love to teach but enjoy a good laugh too. Just check out our Tik Toks. We skate, we dance, we jump, sometimes we fall, but we always get back up. It’s never too cold to skate! It’s never too late to learn! And it’s even better when wearing ORORO heated apparel.

When COVID shuttered all ice rinks in Michigan, we turned to PolyGlide synthetic ice and YouTube as a way to continue teaching without leaving the house. During the darkest days of the pandemic, we could still skate and bring some happiness to our students and followers alike.
