Devoción
Brooklyn, NY
Devoted to providing fresh coffee, Devoción wants to prevent people from drinking stale coffee. Roasting coffee beans is responsible for only half the flavor; their freshness takes care of the rest. Columbian-born founder, Steven Sutton, realized that most coffee beans were left to sit around for months before being brewed and lost flavor over time.
So in 2006, he started Devoción. The team is intimately involved in the coffee harvesting and roasting process. More than that, they’re quicker at it than most other roasters. Devoción has hand-picked their more than 1,000 farm partners, runs their own dry mill in Bogotá, controls the entire export process, and then finally roasts the coffee beans in Brooklyn, NY. No matter the time of year, Devoción gets its beans roasted, brewed, and into customers’ hands in as little as 10 days for ultimate freshness in every sip.
Devoción has three locations in the Brooklyn and New York City area, with wholesale beans available for those who want to stock Devoción’s roast.
