ORORO Heated Apparel is celebrating our 5 year anniversary!

We started as a tiny, local, online retailer in Kansas City. Now we’re celebrating 5 years of rapid growth, new partnerships, exciting opportunities and unrelenting innovation in the wearable technology industry!

Back in Time

ororo started in 2015 

In 2015, we experienced the coldest winter we’d seen in the Midwest in years. It was then that we had an idea: what if there was a piece of clothing that would provide people with optimal heat even on the coldest nights in the chilliest months?

We took this idea and turned it into an innovative piece of wearable tech that went from just one jacket style to a full-blown collection that continues to grow today. 

What’s Happening Now

Since our first creation in 2015, we’ve listened closely to customer feedback on how we can further continue upgrading our products. Nearly every improvement we’ve made has been based on our most loyal fans’ opinions, because we care that you’re warm and cozy in every aspect of your daily life.

All of that improvement has led to a rapid state of growth. ORORO now spreads its wings not just across the continental United States, but in Canada, Australia, and across Europe as well. 

Kansas City Chiefs

Our biggest piece of news is our brand new multi-year partnership with World Champions Kansas City Chiefs.

“We couldn’t be more thrilled to partner with our hometown team of champions and bring the Chiefs Kingdom plenty of amazing, cozy heated options for the coming season,” said Mark Hu, co-founder of ORORO Heated Apparel. “We started in the Midwest and we know how cold those game days can get, so we’re excited to help heat up the Chiefs Kingdom!”

Beyond exciting partnerships, we’re always conscious of what’s happening in the world and added a medical discount for frontline medical staff who are working hard in tough conditions during a pandemic. We also wanted to give back to our customers, so we launched an all-new exclusive membership for new and returning customers: the Toasty Club!

We can talk about ourselves all day, but it’s really our customers that make our brand everything that it is. We receive countless reviews with glowing praise and excitement from people whose lives have changed with the addition of a single heated garment.

“Thank you for the gift card and I wanted to tell you a story about the parka we got from you.  My daughter goes to university in Omaha, Nebraska.  The first winter she spent there it was so cold she swore she would freeze to death. She just could not stay warm,” A Kansas City mother recently shared with us. She and her husband heard of our Heated Parka and were able to pick up the upgraded version for their daughter. 

“She is now back and very excited to try out the new coat.  She is the manager of the women’s soccer team and must be on the field for hours at a time. I wanted you to know this is the reason she went back, she is now assured that she will be warm enough to survive.”

For many customers, our products aren’t just about staying warm; it can very much be about survival in uncomfortable environments. Our team appreciates this and considers these things every time we improve our products.

With the pandemic going on, we’re focused on listening to customers’ feedback and continuing to refine and improve our product line-ups.

We’ve got some exciting things going on the rest of this year into next. Our team has worked hard to bring you new products like the completely redesigned Heated Mittens and Gloves, Heated Fleece Jackets in new colors (black, dark green, maroon), Heated Vests in new colors , an all-new Heated Pullover, all-new Hand-Warmers, and a Heated Socks Kickstarter, featuring a completely new design unseen in the industry! That’s only the tip of the iceberg of what’s coming down the pipeline from ORORO. 

We’re buzzing with excitement about this and we hope you are too. We couldn’t have reached this milestone without you, our loyal ORORO family.     I’ve purchased a heated vest for my husband and heated socks. I just recently purchased a heated vest for myself and I believe my husband bought me the heated scarf but I’m pretending I don’t know…
