Can the apparel generate heat without a battery?
No, the apparel cannot generate heat without a battery. The battery provides the power needed for the heating elements to generate heat. If you don't have any ororo battery, we strongly suggest you to buy with the battery set for heating.

Want to love it, but....
Amelia Women's Western Heated Vest Brown & Blue / M
I'm typically a size Medium in Ororo's Wm Vest, but this style was a bit different. I really wanted to LOVE it especially when I'm at the barn, but it's shorter than my other vests and the medium was too snug in the chest. The large was too big which meant the sides and bottom of the vest flared out quite a bit even if I tried to layer up with it. Othereise, loved the color and idea, just not the right cut for me.

Total game changer. I wish I would have bought one sooner. I’ve used it while riding and outside doing chores. 10/10 recommendation for anyone that needs to be outside but wanting warmth too.

Love the western flare of this vest. Only complaint is the battery placement. It’s on the side as opposed to sitting more towards the back like your other cropped hooded vest. Please offer more colorways.

Non responsive company

I attempted to reach out to the company regarding the VERY short battery life (which is shorter than their manual says it should be) and VERY long charging hours (which is substantially longer than the manual says it should be) for the ororo vest I purchased and have yet to hear back from them in any way. I take that to mean they aren't open to supporting customers so I'd not purchase from them again. This is so disappointing because the vest is very cute and fits well.

Perfect for chilly morning walks! The heated pockets keep my hands so toasty warm. I like how comfy the vest is and although it's not my normal style the colour, fit and material look really good. I also like how the battery is in a discreet place and you don't even notice it when wearing the vest.
