Can the apparel generate heat without a battery?
No, the apparel cannot generate heat without a battery. The battery provides the power needed for the heating elements to generate heat. If you don't have any ororo battery, we strongly suggest you to buy with the battery set for heating.

Wish the battery lasted longer

I love this fleece vest. Very comfortable- but compared to my down style vest this does not get as warm and the battery does not last very long. With my other vest I can wear it for a full round of golf. The battery is larger in the original vest

And we do offer different batteries with different capacity, which leads to a bit difference on heating time. It's always a good idea to prepare a spare battery as a backup if you would like to spend a longer time outdoors.

Good material and weight. It would be great if you could add an elastic adjustable cord on the waist so the product can even fit better. Also it adds to the retained heat. Let me know once you have that design so I can buy one!

Great Gift for the Whole Family!

I recently got this heated sweater fleece vest for my uncle, and he absolutely loves it. His first reaction when he put it on was a satisfied "Ah!" The fleece is incredibly soft and lightweight, making it comfortable to wear around the house without feeling bulky. The heating elements provide great warmth to his hands, neck, and back, and the battery lasts about 3–4 hours, which is perfect for his needs. For the next purchase, I’d probably go for a jacket so he could enjoy the same comfort outdoors.

Battery doesn't last very long

I should have read more into the details about the battery lasting 8 hours only on low heat, 5 hours on medium, and 3 hours on hot. My boyfriend prefers the hot setting and so the vest does not last even halfway through his work day. The battery pack does not recharge quick enough on his lunch to last throughout the day.
